Important Holidays
National ECK Seminar: Usually held on Easter weekend in Minneapolis, at the downtown location of the Hilton hotel, a favorite gathering place of Eckankar (they also have monthly worship services at that hotel).
ECK seminars are spiritual gatherings that feature talks, workshops, worship services, and creative arts like dance, music, visual arts presentations and classes.
Founder’s Day: Held on the 17th of September, Founders Day honors Paul Twitchell. “A day of gratitude and thanksgiving, it is observed on the anniversary of Twitchell’s physical passing.”1
Worldwide Seminar: Usually held on or close to October 22, which is the spiritual New Year in ECK [the day the ECK Temple in Chanhassen was consecrated]. The seminars have been held in Canada, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Africa.
The Eckankar seminars are public and are held twice a year. They range from half-day to multi-day gatherings attended by several thousand ECKists and guests. “ECK seminars are spiritual gatherings that feature talks, workshops, worship services, and creative arts [like dance, music, visual arts presentations and classes, etc.]. The Living ECK Master often speaks at major ECK seminars, in person or by live remote telecast and via the internet.”2
