Small Cities/Greater Minnesota
Some of Minnesota’s most rapidly changing landscapes belong to the rising small cities, here taken as those with populations of 35,000 or more, outside the Minneapolis St. Paul metro areas., including Rochester, Duluth, Mankato, Moorhead, and St. Cloud. Although these cities have long been the established regional centers of Greater Minnesota, these communities are experiencing considerable changes in demographics, culture, and economic development and becoming seriously international places in their own right.
