Hinduization of American Holidays

Additionally, the Milan Mandir celebrates American popular holidays. Some are markers of time such as New Years day, while others are holidays, such as Mother's Day and Valentines Day. These events are often given a Hindu cultural spin, as they include Indian dancing, music, Indo-Caribbean food, and even rituals such as a shortened puja to begin and end the events.
