Even upon entering the parking lot, LWCC has an unmistakable feeling of grandeur and well-oiled efficiency. The LWCC complex is incredibly large, comparable in size to the sprawling storage and factory-type facilities nearby. However, LWCC feels anything but rural or industrial. Cones and signs direct traffic entering the large church parking lot, and parking attendants smilingly usher church-goers into parking spaces. The first of a series of special considerations taken for visitors, LWCC has a special “visitor drop-off” lane that allows cars to pull directly to the front of the church, which resembles the lobby of a five-star hotel. The building itself contains a large sanctuary that holds over 2,000 people, in which main services are performed. Adjacent is a smaller sanctuary that is utilized for weddings and more intimate services. Upon entering, one passes through an expansive atrium that feels like a botanical garden with a large water fountain, tiled floors, and many potted trees and plants. “Greeters” wait at every door to bid a hearty good morning and “God bless;” it is clear that hospitality is taken seriously at this church.
