Voice: Pastor George Burnell

Pastor George Bunnell was “called to Grove Christian Center by God” 6 years ago. He came with a vision for a missional, ethnically diverse church. As he sits in his office covered in scriptural quotes and pictures of him presiding over mass-conversions in India and north Africa, Pastor Bunnell exudes fervor with dark, piercing eyes. The lighting is dim and the blinds are drawn. Two high-backed leather chairs sit in front of a long hardwood desk. Pastor Bunnell is a former Catholic and converted to Christianity at 19 years old, when he “found God in a trashcan," i.e. when he found a Bible in a garbage can he was foraging through.
