In many respects, Incarnation and Sagrado Corazón function independently within the same building, but important annual events bring the communities together to celebrate. These events commemorate important Catholic holidays and support the local community.

Holy Week

The week leading up to Easter begins with Palm Sunday, followed by Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and finally Easter Sunday. Holy Week is the most important week in the Christian calendar, and both Incarnation and Sagrado Corazón see increased attendance during this week. The church also offers two extra bilingual Masses for Holy Thursday and Good Friday.

Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus falls in late May or early June on the Roman Catholic liturgical calendar. The celebrations include prayers, music, food and dancing.

Today is the feast of Sacred Heart and Incarnation Parish is also known as 'Sagrado Corazón de Jesús' in the Latino Community. The feast was celebrated with a Mass, a procession carrying the statue of the Sacred Heart and delicious food. The food and refreshments were donated by the parishioners and there was no charge for the food. The street in front of the church was closed as the Aztec Dancers enriched the celebration with their beautiful regalia. The sun shone down upon this event and everyone had a good time.
