This memorial surrounds the curb in front of Cup Foods where George Floyd took his last breath under the knee of the Minneapolis police department. Visitors come from all over the world to leave offerings, such as artwork, stuffed animals, flowers and photographs. Paul Eaves, 72, who is a local volunteer deems this memorial as sacred, “because of the continued attention human beings give” to this space.
